Build Upon the Sure Foundation

Hello friends! It's nice to have so many visitors from all over the world--thanks again for stopping by. Please don't forget to Like LDS Printables on Facebook and follow the blog for notifications of more free printables. If you use Blog Lovin', you can follow me there too! Always feel free to leave your comments on any of my posts; I love the feedback and love to know how/if you are using the printables, and some of the experiences you are having sharing them!

In sacrament meeting yesterday, I felt the Spirit strongly testify of the divinity of our Savior Jesus Christ. My testimony has been my foundation for my whole life and has brought me the most happiness and joy that I could ever imagine. In a world of constant change, competition, challenge, and heartache, we need somewhere that we can turn that will be consistent and reliable--the only place we have to turn is our faith, our Savior. He is our Rock and our salvation. He is the same "yesterday, today, and forever" and so we can be assured that His arms will always be open to offer us peace and security.

A blog follower recently requested that I make a printable of Helaman 5:12 from the Book of Mormon for the girls in her cabin at her upcoming Girl's Camp. I love this verse: "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

This counsel that a wise father gave to his sons gives us the understanding that although temptations and trials will come, we can be safe as we build upon the Rock, Jesus Christ. I can remain happy and hopeful despite whatever happens in the world around me. I am so grateful for the sacrifices that He made so that I can have joy in my family and home.

How has building your faith and foundation on Christ blessed YOUR life?
