Be Not Weary in Well-Doing

I had a recent request for a printable of an important part of D&C 64:33 - "Be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work."

I love this scripture; it reminds me that every good, small, or simple thing that I am doing is for a greater cause. Visiting teaching, for example, is laying the foundation for stronger testimonies of the sisters we visit, friendships that may not have been formed otherwise, and helping those we teach get through hard times and become more faithful and more dependent on the Lord.

Motherhood also is laying a foundation of a great work (even though there are quite a few days that I become quite weary!), and any experienced mother can attest that all the well-doing, weary moments are absolutely worth it.

I know that God has provided each of us opportunities for well-doing. These opportunities make us better people and we also help build His kingdom in ways we may not even understand. I'm grateful for a merciful God who gives us the chance (and choice) to love and serve those around us.

Have you seen great results from the service you have offered to others?

  2. Love this site! Could you maybe do some LDS printables for kids rooms? I have 3 little boys and would love some future missionary or primary ones!

    1. I'm sorry you are having problems! I save all of my printables as .pdf files so that is probably why you can't print them at Costco. If you have a program that can convert the file to a .jpg then you would be able to print there. I can resave it as a .jpg for you, but I won't be by my computer until next week.

  4. Thank you for this beautiful image. My daughter recently cited this verse in her mission blog, and your graphic is such a bright and attractive way to share it with others. I'm grateful for your generosity and creativity.
