The Future Is As Bright As Your Faith

One of my dear friends asked me to make a printable to go in a "box of sunshine" she is sending to a woman who is going through a really difficult time. She thought that this quote by President Thomas S. Monson would be an inspiration to her friend: "The future is as bright as your faith."

I have a few friends who I feel need to hear this message, as well.

It is so easy to get discouraged and to become depressed--trust me, I have been there. Counseling, medication, deep name it. However, through it all, I didn't have a perspective that my faith could help my future. When I finally repented and humbled myself and asked the Lord for more faith and for the promised blessings He had offered, I realized that my future was in my hands, not just His.

When we have hope, faith, and a positive perspective, we can do or become anything we want to. We can have happiness and joy in our futures because of our faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter how hard our trials and challenges are; all that matters is that we trust in Him, in His Atonement, and in the power it can have in our lives.

My faith in Christ has helped me more than I could ever have imagined. I can look forward with excitement and eagerness to the rest of my life because even when things aren't going right or well, my destiny is set--I can return and live with God again and be with my family for eternity. All that is wrong in this life will be made up because of the Atonement of Christ. We can choose to be happy, choose to have faith, and choose to have joy in our futures.

I pray that my friends who are struggling will be able to realize that now is the time to have faith in Christ; now is the time to determine our future happiness; now is the time to have joy. I know my Savior lives and has given us the chance to change, to improve, and to have everlasting peace.

How has faith in Christ given you hope for your future?
